Waiver Of Personal Appearance And Authorization To Enter Plea

NOW COMES the Defendant, and:

1. Pursuant to North Carolina General Statute § 15A-1011(a)(3), hereby waives his/her right to appear in person in this action;
2. Gives notice of being represented by The Law Office of Ryan M. Watson, PLLC and authorizes Attorney Ryan Watson to represent me in [Name of County] County District Court;
3. Pursuant to North Carolina General Statute 15A-1011(d), waives the right to testify in person and waives the right to confront his accusers and/or witnesses in person and agrees to be bound by the decision of the court;
4. Gives authorization for my attorney to act on my behalf, including requesting a continuance in the above matter(s) or to enter into a plea agreement, in his discretion, of guilty as charged, or to any lesser charge(s) which are acceptable to the Court and the District Attorney for the State;
5. Acknowledges that no promises or guarantees have been made regarding the outcome of the case, and that any plea entered in this matter is considered a conviction;
6. Agrees to accept the judgment of the Court; and
7. Acknowledges sole responsibility for the payment of any court costs or fines as determined by the Court.
